I actually just finished rewatching Scrubs, including season nine, and I think the bigger problem than changing the setting and replacing most of the core cast is that it didn't really FEEL like Scrubs on a base level. Yeah it was set in a hospital but the wackiness was lost. There is that bit also just the personal relationship dynamics arent there. JD isnt there the whole time, no Carla, no Janitor, so on and so on. Its just not good.
