Ive barely ever used the reflect magic and have had zero problems playing through it.

Whats your struggle point without it? My first run on FM was the first time i used it and even then it was only for a couple data fights.

I'm not sure I have issues per say, it's just such an easy crutch to fall back on that I mostly do it without thinking and then never learn the proper way to deal with things that are mildly challenging.

Fair. I did not use the guard mechanic at all until the boss added in FM kind of forced the issue on critical. Can generally deal with most things in multiple ways but if you have fun with reflect no need to change it.
