Fucking terrified.
It is genetic in my family on my mother's side and both of the people I lived with for the past 25 years had it. It is very easy to avoid, so as long as I don't fucking eat like a pig I'll continue being good.

I wrote this thread thinking you'd come in here. Aren't you T1D / use an omnipod? That's much different than people with T1D who basically have to life with the fact they fucked themselves.
That being said being limited on what you can eat and having to monitor insulin levels like they're a hunger meter in a survival game just scare the shit out of me. The idea that not eating correctly could lead to a diabetic coma too.

for the most part the only major change was i just had to stop drinking full fat soda. zero sugar tastes better for everything except colas btw

I've already been doing that for years.
I've dealt with parents who have had pretty severe neuropathy. Shit sounds scary.
