Nina Lin was unbanned today. She got a week. A one week ban for sexually assaulting somebody live on stream, multiple times. And then doubling and tripling down on it by victim blaming her own victim and saying it was embarrassing for him as a guy.

What the actual fuck is wrong with Twitch?

I don't follow Twitch streamers, but I assume this person brings in a lot of money so they get away with it. Too much of society is like that. If you're famous and/or bring in the money, you get so much leeway.

While its probably inappropriate I dont think its quite comparable to sexual assault

Timeline:

-Holds a guy down as her friend twerks on him and follows it up with "we're going to need to turn off the camera", despite the guy constantly telling them to stop.
-Guy complains about it. Has suicidal thoughts. Largely gets ignored.
-Nina gets called out.
-Nina says that she's sorry, but that "as a man, he should be embarrassed" and that "I'm not going to be friends with him though, he's a bitch!".
-Nina and her friend gets banned, likely due to mass reporting.
-Nina and her friend get unbanned after 1 day.
-Videos of Nina surface of her saying that she used to beat her little brother so bad that CPS had to get involved.
-DisguisedToast, a popular streamer, comes out and points to a stream where she assaulted him.
-She apologizes.
-She gets banned.
-She gets unbanned after a week.
-She calls it a vacation.
-She calls out Asmongold for spearheading an "obsessive" hate train against her.

Absolutely crazy person.

Yeah, I couldn't remember the details, but I remember it was something like that which led to the "turn off the camera" comment.

And I left it out, but they kept trying to excuse "he's not consenting" with "He's a 26 (or however old they said) years old. This is consensual".

That's easy, the guy that runs Twitch is a fucking creep that doesn't care

Not comparing the scenarios, just pointing out another example of Twitch being blatantly scummy as fuck.

Twitch's initial response to a guy running past Emiru's security at Twitchcon, grabbing her, and trying to kiss her (idk if he actually did), was to give him a 30 day ban before she pushed the issue and they made it indefinite.

IShowSpeed, as a 16 year old at the time, made an unhinged rape 'joke' where some girl said if they were the only two people left on earth, she wouldn't have sex with him, and his response was "if we're the only two left, who's going to stop me". Speed got banned for 2 years for that comment, as a 16 year old, and used it as a learning experience.

This shit is all over the place. Not really sure what Twitch's game plan is here.

There's the double standard, right there at the start. Too many people don't believe women can commit sexual assault; sort of the opposite side of the coin to creepy politicians that talk about "real rape", they don't think women can commit a "real assault".

TBF, they covered the camera during the actual birth, but I still don't think that's something that should be on livestream

Women sexually assaulting men is never treated as seriously as when the genders are swapped.

Sadly, Twitch is consistent when it comes to not giving a shit about sexual assault/harassment. Apparently, even if the victim is popular.

It's clear they're going to keep using kid gloves until

1. Someone gets raped
2. Someone gets killed
3. Someone sues the hell out of Twitch

Can't even say "If the sexes were reversed" because Emiru got assaulted and had to fight for a perma ban for her attacker.

First I'm hearing of this but not surprised cause Twitch really doesn't care when it comes to this type of stuff even more so when you factor in that the victim was a man and the perpetrator was a woman, sexual assault is unfortunately something that has a lot of double standards.

Twitch is barely better than Kick at this point, it's all about who you know and how much money you bring in, Dr. Disrespect being allowed back not only on twitch but youtube as well after what he did is pretty damn disgusting as well especially since he showed absolutely no remorse and has quadrupled down several times.

People are just addicted to being scumbags and profiting from it, it's no wonder we have the president we have when society seems okay with this.

She went viral years ago for exaggerating her accent and screaming while hanging off the back of a garbage truck. Last year she was a contestant on Druski's dating show.

I saw a video not long ago about Onlyusemyblade which I never heard of. But the guy while streaming I think straight up said something about raping a girl, then a girl by him (another streamer) passed out drunk in a bed in the room behind him and then he went and screwed her while she was passed out and you could see it happening kinda, and somehow he never got banned or in trouble
