I did joke about getting a tattoo of a bee with my SO one time though. One that is Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire inspired. A skull with a sword going through it, with valar morghulis written around it. I also have mine and my wife's initials on my ring finger. Got that for our fifth anniversary. She got the same one on her finger. My largest is of a half naked nun covered with snakes, with a large snake wrapped around her body. Most of the time I'd agree, though I've seen a few really good ones, and it all comes down to placement and theme. I like it when an arm has a theme and its not just random tattoos all over the place, but rather a sleeve piece. But my favourite tattoo came from a biker who I served at my cash register, who had an gothic chapel tattooed on his forehead, but he let his hair grow out a bit, so it gave it a cool 3d effect. Other than that, never really wanted any tattoos. It's less that I view them as ugly or a waste of money, just never had anything I felt warranted dedicating a permanent space on my body for. I'm okay with a (unique) commemorative Army tattoo because I dedicated my mind, body and soul to said Army, so it earned a spot. --- The name is wackyteen for a reason.
