That said though, I remember a lot of left wingers being very oblivious to what was happening with right wingers back then, still acting like politics was this emotionally neutral subject that we could all discuss like adults, even as right wingers were being indoctrinated to believe that all liberals are baby-murdering communist devil worshippers.
