Isn't this a good thing? I don't think anyone actually liked the idea of it.
You'd probably be better off selling your UMDs wholesale and rebuying the best games on PSN than using this feature. A few months ago I sold my collection of 20 UMDs into Gamestop and got like 200 bucks (though this was during a trade in sale). Though you probably wouldn't get that much now.
