I thought this would rank higher. I certainly thought it would beat Comatose, not that Comatose is a bad choice.
To be honest, I'm not a big fan of Vaxis II (the album this is from). I think most of it is way too pop-rock-ish for my taste. It's their most generic sounding album. It's also the only C&C album that uses any autotune (at least that's so obvious that I can tell). However, the last 4 tracks, Our Love, Ladders of Supremacy, Rise Naianasha (Cut the Cord) and this track save it from mediocrity.
Ladders of Supremacy and Rise Naianasha run together to make essentially one song, and taken together I would consider this to be the best song on the album. Someone conveniently uploaded a combined version of this on Youtube:

I would have nominated this instead of Window of the Waking Mind, but I thought that was kinda cheating. Plus together they're 12 minutes long, and I was trying to keep things 10 minutes or less.
My favorite C&C album musically, hands down, is Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness (Yes, that's the actual title). However, that album has some serious issues lyrically that make me reluctant to recommend it. The lyrics can pretty much be boiled down to: I hate you, I love you, I hate you, I love you, I hate you... :P We get it, you went through a bad breakup. Can we go back to the Amory Wars now?
