The thing is: People don't care about these details. They don't take notice of them at all.
You can show people (who know Pokemon and Monopoly) a image of a Pikachu with a black end on the tail, and of the Monopoly guy with a monocle, and no one will call you out on that, because it still feels right to them.
Well, as I said before we already have such Pikachus anyways. Take a look a Pikachu Libre in Smash Ultimate.
It also doesn't help that Pichu HAS a black tip on it's tail. Or does it? No, it doesn't, the tail is fully black.
