Sounds annoying but the other side ain't that great either. Never been really close with my parents. When I was done with high school at age 17 I went abroad for a few months and lived on my own (my parents were totally fine with it, not angry or anything). When I came back my mom asked me where I was going to live, I was like 'uh, here, with you guys?' and she told me that I couldn't just come back after moving out. So they gave me a bunch of money for a couple months rent for my own place and that was pretty much it. I talk to them like once a month and visit them twice a year at age 26 now.
