Yami Yugi was a fucking brutal monster at first lol
As a kid who never read the manga, missing these scenes really did make the scene in Duelist Kingdom when Yugi surrendered to Kaiba a little off to me.
Yugi: "I'm scared of this presence inside of me"
Me: "But... isn't he the good guy? Sure he was gonna go through with it, but he had valid reasons."
Then I read the manga a couple years ago and saw how Yugi pretty much went all "Saw" on people (complete with the whole "I want to play a game" thing), and did brutal things to them. I was like "... but I looked up to you as a kid... D:"
