The biggest surprise for me is K. Rool and Shepard being neck and neck. I suppose it could be a Smash Bros. boost + ME3/Andromedia deboost, but I still thought Shepard would be the clear favorite, since I know people actually care about him.
I remember K. Rool simply being there and having no real presence in any of the games aside from the final boss fights, so I figured even most Donkey Kong fans didn't really care about him.
Aqua + Quiet's a bit surprising too, but mostly with how weak Quiet is. I expected Aqua to be the stronger one (and have her winning R2 as well), since she seems especially liked among Kingdom Hearts fans, and even had a pretty big moment in one of the Kingdom Hearts 3 trailers. I figured Quiet would be weak for a MGS character since she seems a bit controversial from what I can tell (a lot that like her, but a lot that seem to hate her too), but I still thought it'd be a close match.
