Is it possible you are overvaluing yourself upon appraisal?
The woman that I would consider good enough for me to marry would deserve more than I'm capable of giving her. I would likely feel this way no matter what I considered my own worth to be.
Truth be it, I consider myself next to worthless, so that's more likely the culprit.
