I wasn't raised to feel that way. The more I look into the church the more I realize they don't believe in God. It's all idolatry.
My mom is catholic and she says she only feels the presence of God in catholic churches. She does believe. The idolatry accusation against Catholics is from outsiders who don't understand catholic doctrine. They only worship God and Jesus. When they pray to saints it's not to worship them it's to ask for help or pass on a message to God
My main gripe with Catholicism is that Jesus never said we need a Pope or anything like the Vatican. I also dont support the idea of buying your way into Heaven.
