Young people actually get preferential treatment in most cases... Youre younger, better looking, more able bodied and privileged overall.
Anyone over the age of 40 wishes they had the body of a 20 year old again.
The mental experience and wisdom is a plus, but physically young people are at an advantage.
I think that's very relative. Depends on the field you work. There are plenty of jobs where employers will want to hire a person with a more experienced resum (generally older folks), rather than a green youngster fresh out of college
