Back in the day I used to have a GoldStar air conditioner. It was super quiet and worked really well but unfortunately I had to leave it behind when moving because I ran out of space. I know GoldStar is now part of LG but their new air conditioners are really loud. The fan makes a really annoying, super loud water splashing sound. Actually, all brands I've tried have this issue. Only the old GoldStar air conditioners were quiet. Maybe they had better sound insulation or something. I might have to track down a used one on ebay or facebook marketplace but before I do that do you guys have any recommendations for super quiet window air conditioners? Anything in the 5,000-8,000 BTU range.
