Houston posted... Does anyone have current familiarity with the sit down restaurant industry? I think many have cut their staff significantly since not many people are going out and there's occupancy restrictions. Though there are more To-Go orders being placed, I'd still estimate a lot of the places I go eat at or pick up from are much slower than usual.
How are the current employees still hired on being payed? Are they getting more? I can't imagine a waiter making anything close to what they were making in tips unless the restaurants are paying them more.
I would think service industry jobs kinda suck at the moment.
