I played the remaster of 1 last year, it was ok. There are a lot of little changes, there's an option for increased draw distance, and I think everything is faster. The problem is that certain enemies can be set to respawn a certain number of times. On some levels basically no enemies respawn, on others it's most of them, and it only takes around 30 seconds. On the later levels I just started running past them because there's no point to fighting them.
