Actually, now that I think about it, I think it is possible to turn off all the visual effects and the tablet-mode in Win10 also and revert it to a WinXP-esque experience (actually, even more like Win95 as I remember it - and I can't remember if I ever used Win3.x or whatever). I seem to remember discovering that most of the additions are actually like layers over the original OS, which is still present and accessible.
Can't be positive about this, since I'm using a Win7 laptop atm and have my Win10 workstation in storage.
