It's one of the reasons I found it hard to find fault when Brazil was clearing the rainforest to make room for more cattle. Kind of hard to point fingers when America was allowed to clear shit tons of forests centuries ago when no one even had a thought of a thought that that might impact things.
Like yeah it clearly sucks on the large scale, but can you really blame them for trying to get ahead with what they have?
