Apple (AAPL) is slashing production of its new iPhone X in a sign of weak demand for the $1,000 smartphone. According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple plans to make 20 million phones in the first quarter instead of the 40 million it initially planned. Apple will offer its first report on iPhone X sales when it reports earnings Thursday.
It only took a $1,000 price tag, but looks like we finally found the point at which Apple consumers will push back against a mediocre product.
I like mine :/
It didn't cost me $1,000 either, I upgraded from my old phone, it was cheap
What? Thats doubtful unless you traded in your phone that is at most a year or so old. Even then, most carriers still quote like $699 on "select trade ins."
That's what I did. And then I keep paying $20 a month for a while. It isn't that much TBQH, and I intend to keep the phone for 2 years so yeah.
