Yeah that's crazy. And then there's Curry who was the face of the franchise as they went from also-ran to the best ever and makes $40MM/yr or whatever but that's a fraction of the profits he brought to that team. And the NBA is probably the best of the major sports in how the players are treated financially. MLB used to be good but it's getting weird now but that was only ever for the big leaguers anyway, minor league players live in squalor
