His writing was pretty bad sometimes. Like he'd end a chapter all:

"And then the monster bit off my head"

But then the next chapter would start off all:

"Actually, it wasn't a monster, it was my sister. And she didn't bite off my head, she brought me freshly baked cookies."

Yeah as Im rereading these books, this is my biggest complaint. Its obvious when a chapter cliffhanger is just some bullshit.

I also wish some of the endings were beefed up more. Otherwise Im enjoying these books.
