This is the same stuff that was being done in the movie "V for Vendetta" to people who didn't toe the government line. They're copying the repressive tactics taken by those in power in Chile when Allende and company ruled; those of Kim Jung Un, Putin, Xi, Sissi and other dictators in the present.
