Red Dead Redemption 2 for me.

Been gaming regularly since 1980 and it is my favorite game of all time. I played the story mode for like 600 hours alone and it is one of the rare times I actually played online and played for 1000+ hours of online as it was basically an extension of single player and perfectly viable to play solo.

I understand the realism was a turn off for some but I loved it. I did so much hunting. All I did was hunt and hunt. Filled out the animal compendium to 100%. Every animal studied, tracked, killed, skinned, and photographed.

Online I loved doing trader role and just hunting and delivering my wagon full of goods for money. Never got old. I think it is the best video game world ever created and was just stunning.
