To be fair... (SPOILERS FOR THE IDW COMICS):
Sombra did return and was redeemed to his good self and is now traveling Equestria with an old friend from his past. I can't remember specifics exactly, but that did happen.
So no, I'm pretty sure Sombra will not be returning.
