allowing you to remove yourself from google

Yeah, you have no idea what that actually is do you? Do you think you can just tell Google to delete whatever about you?

https://transparencyreport.google.com/eu-privacy/overview?hl=en

...yeah? I don't see anything in that article that refutes that.

Over a million links were delisted according to what you sent. That's a problem. Information should never be censored

"Evaluating requests
We assess each request on a case-by-case basis. In some cases, we may ask the inspanidual for more information. We have carefully developed criteria in alignment with the Article 29 Working Partys guidelines. After a request is submitted to us via our webform it undergoes a manual review. Once we reach a decision, the inspanidual will receive an email notifying him or her of our decision and, if we do not delist the URL, a brief explanation.

Reasons we dont delist
A few common material factors involved in decisions not to delist pages include the existence of alternative solutions, technical reasons, or duplicate URLs. We may also determine that the page contains information which is strongly in the public interest. Determining whether content is in the public interest is complex and may mean considering many spanerse factors, includingbut not limited towhether the content relates to the requesters professional life, a past crime, political office, position in public life, or whether the content is self-authored content, consists of government documents, or is journalistic in nature."

ie its not "allowing you to remove yourself from google"

You can dress it up however you want, over a million links were delisted

There was an estimated 30 trillion pages indexed by Google in 2013 ( https://venturebeat.com/2013/03/01/how-google-searches-30-trillion-web-pages-100-billion-times-a-month ). Assuming no change - despite a 30-fold increase over the previous 5 years - that means 1 million pages is 0.00000003333% of total content. I can imagine lots of context where an inspanidual's rights may override the rights of a corporation (ie groups created to harass, links to patently false slander, revenge porn, child porn, etc) or desire to see everything.

Not everything is black or white and there can absolutely be justification for not indexing some pages. It's not like you can just ask to have anything you want deleted and it will be. It's also still on the internet, just not indexed by one private corporation.
