The thing with Skyrim is I just might not like that style of RPG. I don't understand the appeal, but it is something different. I perfectly understand the appeal of a turn based, story driven, JRPG. Those are some of my favorite games of all time. Either someone would have to explain why the story/characters/whatever appealed to them SO much on a personal level that they consider it the GOAT RPG, or they just have to admit it's nostalgia. I have a hard time believing anyone who after playing a ton of other good RPG's and JRPG's could play through FFVII and say its the best game ever made.
