Narcolepsy is excessive daytime sleepiness often combined with difficulty falling asleep. Most, but not all. narcoleptics also suffers from cataplexy which is a condition of sudden loss muscle strength triggered by in most cases by strong emotions.
Now cataplexy works of the same mechanics that is in place when people dream and some cataleptics actually experience dreams in their paralysis episodes while at the same time fully awake.
