I wouldn't be surprised if Rodney still had some kind of PTSD over his sister's death coming into the season.
I wouldn't doubt it. He was getting really fired up out there in ways that few other Survivors have. And I don't doubt that he's a nice person IRL either.
I normally dislike contestants who constantly play the victim but Shirin is fine, a. because she frequently was the victim, and b. she was wacky enough that when she played the victim card erroneously it sort of came off as "yep, there goes crazy ol' Shirin again."
I will admit that Dan's "yo momma" thing with Rodney was blown way out of proportion and probably shouldn't have even been in the edit at all, except to make Dan look foolish.
Also, I do admit to having been biased against Shirin going into the season because I'm kind of an animal lover, so I never forgave her for that awful rabbit thing she did pre-season.
