I'm 50 and almost had a stroke last year.

I was able to catch it before it happened because the pupil of my left eye had contracted down to a pinpoint... with the pupil of my right eye being normal.

So I when straight to an ophthalmologist to see if it was serious. And the ophthalmologist told me to get to the emergency room ASAP, because I was about to have a stroke.

Fortunately, if you catch it in time, the ER can normally prevent it from happening by give you aspirin to thin your blood a bit, blood pressure medication to lower your blood pressure a bit... and keep you horizontal, so that your blood pressure doesn't spike.
