Aressar posted... Unpopular opinion: I thought Qui-Gon's character was great: an experienced Jedi who has his own ideas about what can be the best course of action, even when it doesn't coincide with the Council's wishes, yet he sticks to the Light Side and gets the job done.
I enjoyed how he does little things that could be considered unethical for a Jedi (making a bet, manipulating a dice roll, mind-tricking others into getting his way), and by the way he explains himself one can tell that he can justify his actions based on his philosophy, and that he doesn't do these things impulsively.
Where is this an unpopular opinion? Most cite Qui-Gon as one of the good things about the PT as a whole, let alone just TPM.
