The people who are bitching about it all seem to want to sacrifice a living, breathing world for easy to learn mechanics.

"This game had to suck in order to be a living breathing world." is such a bullshit excuse fo shitty game design and always has been.

Good games have never had to choose one or the other.

I mean sure some genres can use that excuse. I mean like Silent Hill 2 using shitty controls as part of the atmosphere of suvival horror.

But "Oh no, your guns have to suck and the horse has to suck to be a true western world" is just dumb.

Silent Hill 2 didn't make your room smell horrible because in the game there were corpses and rust everywhere
