I'd say his vote is a wash at best, maybe town leaning because why would scum Scare want to put a target on himself like that. 1. The close timing is so obvious, it might end up decreasing suspicion toward the two of you as a result. "That can't possibly be a scum play; they're probably town.

2. The largely separate rationale presented by the two of you means the rest of us get a one-two punch overload of allegedly compelling data on which to pile on your target. "Well, Leo cited this reason, and Stan backed it up with different word choice. The evidence is surely mounting."

3. In a perfect world for you, if you're both scum, there's a rally against Scare on Day 1. Needless to say, for any of this to be apt, Scare would have to be town.

Unfortunately, I don't have any sort of read on Scare yet, myself. So I'll dwell on this observation, see if it draws forth more chatter, and go from there.

I tend to agree that Stan's vote looks kind of suspicious, and the timing is only a small part of why. It kind of feels like a "well, other people are starting to lay down votes, maybe I should too and here's a good target" kinda thing.

As far as people saying "this is what Nana acts like when he's town," I maintain that it seemed disingenuous - perhaps like he was trying to mimic how he thought his town self might act. I admit I'm feeling a little less solid on this read now than I was last night when I was tired and stoned, but I still need him to provide some more meaningful content than he has.

These are only two people of the several we obviously need to see a bit more of. All Red has really done is push Nana really hard as an easy lynch, perhaps hoping to set me up for a Board 8 special down the line, so I'm not liking him much either.

As far as town reads, MI is on top of that list for me right now. He seems to be putting a more effort into trying to get some content going than most people in this game. For now that alone is a large point in his favor.

And by "push Nana really hard as an easy lynch" I mean casting aspersions on my vote for going after an easy lynch, ESPECIALLY after it's come out that Nana isn't necessarily an easy lynch at all and there's really no historical basis for saying so.

Frankly if Red is town, it is straight-up bad play to even mildly insinuate that someone's history in this game is something other than it is. You know full well there are people in this game who haven't played in years or are new, and don't necessarily know how to read people from the beginning. I know the defense here is "well I didn't read the topic" but you can't convince me you didn't even read the player list at some point in the last week.

I think this is a continuation of the Great Mouse Detective analogy, although my first thought was Fawlty Towers.

I'm liking Leo as town based on ineformation he's been willing to offer up.

And I'm liking Immy as town as well, for now. The fact that he's insinuated that I'm scum puts him as town- he's historically liked to call me town and buddy up when he's scum. I don't know how that changes with a plethora of other players whom he has much more history with. Given that though, I'm unwilling to lynch either today.

looking back at the votes again, I find the reasons to be basically the same
'gut reaction to posts' and 'didnt like his posts'
which makes Stan more of a sheep (or oppurtunist) than anything, and makes me find his vote slightly less distasteful somehow (because he didnt try to make it look better than Leo's vote)
and really on its own, Scare does look suspect

though really what struck me the most was Jeff using a sentence phrased often in mafia, in his first game
