Yes. But the difference here is that we already knew coming into day 1 i wasn't going to be present much. I put in the time i had. You came in and just made excuses for inactivity. Hell if that was somehow expected level of play I'd have just rather been in the game from the start instead of you.

Also we need to see what the hell is up with scare so no one be stupid here. Lots of day left to play and we have a two for one special on the table one way or another.

I think that is more likely then a scum KBM faking a scan for no reason to save Town. There is a zero percent chance that happens.

So I'm good with pezloco first and I want to hear Scares flavor. The thing that bothers me is that faking a scan D2 seems rash and suicidal. Maybe scare thought he was a dead man walking and wanted to jump out ahead of it?


Occulams razor is that scare is scum, but I think the odds of scare being scum are still lower than pez. I don't buy the Miller claim in the slightest

After two centuries of seclusion, Japan was forced to open it's doors to foreign powers for trade when Commodore Matthew Perry arrived in Edo in 1853. Against gun-boats and modern military weapons, the Japanese had no chance in a war and were forced to bend to the wills of the Western nations. This lead to economic turmoil and high tensions between locals and foreigners, and most of the blame was put on the ruler of Japan at the time, the Shogun.

In particular, samurai in Choshu and Satsuma really hated this and decided that the Shogunate should be abolished and power should be returned to the Emperor. The Shogunate initially resisted, but after the death of the Shogun Tokugawa Iemochi in 1866 and Emperor Komei in 1867, the new Shogun, Yoshinobu, tried to reorganize the government in a way where the Tokugawa family would still have sway in politics and keeps their lands, but the Emperor would be in control. He quickly resigned his powers to the emperor, but Satsuma and Choshu were not satisfied, and demanded that the Shogunate be dissolved and all lands stripped away from the Tokugawa family.

Initially agreeing, Yoshinobu changed his mind and refused to heed to the demands of Choshu-Satsuma alliance, who by now had moved into to occupy Kyoto, the site of the imperial palace. He decided to attack the combined forces, thus beginning the Boshin War.

That's pretty normal setup. The hard/fun part is you can take this as a base case and then start twisting knobs on both sides. If scum has a roleblocker then I could see Town having another power. Add in a mafia scanner and I would give Town another limited use power


At least I think we see 5 Town Nillas. If that is the case I see room for 2 more Town mild/risky powers. If I was making the game they would be extremely difficult to use roles that were directly tied to flavor. Something like Angel from Bible mafia.

More likely in this case I wouldn't be surprised to see something like a BP to round it out

It doesn't matter whether or not miller claims were typical on B8 7 years ago or now. I don't claim D1. I'm absolutely against giving out information D1. I also try not to rely on roles too much. Sceptilesolar posted...
