When I say "main theme," I mean like the iconic theme that everyone associates with said series. Like Mario world 1-1 music, for example, would be Mario's most iconic theme.

This includes any installments, whether it's the original, or the latest updated version.

I was mainly aiming for the one theme song that tends to make itself apparent in the soundtrack of all (or most) of a given series installments. Like Halo for example - the main theme was I think prevalent in at least 1-3 (at least, if not more), but IIRC it disappeared at some point.

*Kingdom Hearts - There are like 3 options I can think of as the "main theme." There's Hikari/Simple and Clean, Passion/Sanctuary, or Dearly Beloved. I personally think I'd choose Dearly Beloved, since it's what plays in the title screen of (I'm pretty sure) every single KH installment.

Interesting question, first things that pop into mind are probably Halo or Killer Instinct. I like lots of themes, but themes specific to multiple games would take longer to think about. Unreal Tournament's was pretty good, like 99-04, but I'm not sure if they even use it any more.

the one that immediately comes to mind is the Dragon Quest theme, its so fucking good

I love Kingdom Hearts, but I think Final Fantasy should've been on the poll instead of KH...

Does Final Fantasy even have a main theme? I don't know of any recurring songs but admittedly I'm not a huge FF fan.

The FF1 prologue/title theme has been in most FF games. (Although they are all different variations of the original theme.)
It's the main theme of the series.

I really love the pokemon theme so it made me so fucking pumped when the champion theme starts off like this

Kingdom Hearts gets my vote. I really hope they have a new theme for KH 3 though as at this point Simple and Clean has been overused way too much.

I suspect my dad may have thought I was gay when I was in the 6th grade I would listen to remixes of that song so much. My friends and I had a KH phase.

Dragon Quest. "Overture" is probably my favorite video game opening theme, although the opening theme for the NES version of Tecmo Super Bowl gives it a run for its money.
