I mean if time is no object, I imagine the 10:40 will be somewhat less crowded since it more or less takes the parents-taking-their-kids-to-see-it out of the equation. Or, at least, even if it's still full, there would be little to no chance of any loud or crying children.

8:20 is a better time in general though since you can be home by 11 or so (depending on the runtime), whereas you might be out until 1AM at the 10:40 one.
