Simpsons Episode is BANNED in RUSSIA because it MOCKS CHRISTIANITY!!!

The latest Simpsons Episode where Homer plays Pokemon Go at a church service has been BANNED by RUSSIAN TV after church leaders there said the episode was grossly OFFENSIVE!!

The episode titled "Mr Goodbart" shows Homer walking into church on Sunday playing Peekimon Get with the Comic Book Guy and paired up to stop where Comic Book Guy says "Look, this game is..or at least was..bigger than JESUS"..Homer say "Hmm..it's a pretty low bar these days"

The Russian Orthodox Church contacted cartoon channel 2x2 and complained which the station immediately pulled.

It was influenced by the case of Ruslan Soklovsky who faces imprisonment for playing Pokemon Go at a Cathedral as he could face 3.5 years in prison for "offending religious sentiments"

The athiest was detained and charged under controversial legislation for "inciting hatred" as the Russian news agencies says "There are no grounds to let the defendant go unpunished" and are asking for over 3 years of imprisonment

He faces the same charges as the punk rock feminist band ***** Riot after they called on the Virgin Mary to save Russia from Putin as that trial grew outrage around the world.

I was gonna' guess Homer the Heretic. Haven't seen this episode.

There was a Simpsons episode where Homer's in the kitchen working on a crossword puzzle. Asks...i think Bart...for help. He needs a word that starts with C for a set of ideas that sounds good in principle but never works out in reality. Instead of the expected "Communism", Bart suggests "Christianity" and Homer replies, "that's the one!"

Can't remember which episode, but that's what I immediately thought of when I saw this topic. :D
(both b/c it's about making fun of Christianity and the fact that it's about Russia...used to be Communist)

tbh, given how many times it's mocked Christianity, I'm not sure why this episode is special. Plus usually they just edit a scene or line out for other markets.
