Weed Users BEWARE, Trump is COMING AFTER YOU after signing spending bill!!!

Trump avoided a government shutdown after signing the $1 Trillion Spending bill that even included safeguarding the use of medical marijuana even though he DISAGREES with it..but then laid out his objections to it and said he reserved the RIGHT to ignore the provision and GO AFTER WEED USERS!!

The provision known as the Rohrabacher-Blumenauer amendment states that the Dept of Justice from spending money to interfere with the use, distribution, possession of medical marijuana but not recreational marijuana

While it's legal in 29 states, it is still illegal under federal law

Despite signing off on it as part of a deal with the Democrats, he held out the possibility of taking legal action against states and territories that legalized marijuana

He said "I wil treat this provision consistently with my constitutional responsbility to take care that the laws will be faithfully executed"

Tom Angell, founder of Marijuana Majority said Trump is basically saying they reserve the right to do whatever they want and enforce prohibition regardless of statutory prohibition of doing so

Sean Spicer said the president was "sympathetic" to people who use medical marijuana but Jeff Sessions has repeatedly voiced against it after he said "good people don't smoke marijuana. We need grown-ups in charge in Washington to say marijuana is not the kind of thing that out to be legalized, it ought to be minimized, that's it's a fact a very real danger"

Trump has a hardline against drugs, that includes marijuana and in order to continue is toughness on the war of drugs, he may have to go after weed in order to stay true to his form..

If he actually wanted to win the war on drugs, he'd commit to drone strikes on foreign plantations and labs.

At least don't refer to politicians in general as "the grown-ups in charge"...

While I don't smoke weed myself and find most folk who do smoke weed to be short of a few brain cells to say the least when talking to them I can't say I have a issue with people smoking it. They know the risks just as anyone who smokes anything so it's their choice. I actually believe the government should make it legal and tax it just like they do with cigarettes.

So he signed a bill that included things he doesn't agree with? What a monster.

I know this is just a small thing but huge for trump. Sucking it up and approving something he doesn't agree with. Gives me a little hope. I know it's super wishful thinking but this gives me hope that he is trying to become better at being president. Hell if he improves over the next 4 years and we don't all die, I may even vote for him.

I doubt Trump will take much action on marijuana. And, in general, the most convenient enforcement route is fines unless somebody is driving or something.

Except he's done stuff he doesn't necessarily agree with all the time. He's a business leader, after all. He couldn't possibly be fine with every single deal.

As dumb as this fucking is, we should celebrate the death of the republican party. We're seeing it in action. They're as hypocritical as the left.

Sure, criticize weed for being childish as you go home and destroy your liver with liquor. I hope every single one of them gets a nice dose of karma when they can't get insured.

only politicians in washington have a problem with weed besides them virtually no one ever has had a problem with weed. besides women because then people go around telling others they're slutty, the lazy stoner thing is just people cannabalizing off of that. Lots of people before that smoked weed without anyone saying anything. cops, country musicians other people would have used hemp in their daily lives. so why is weed so taboo now? politicians in the 70's and 90's. Andrew Jackson didn't hate the indians because of weed, he hated tobbacco IRL the flag was made of hemp wasn't it
