This 24 y/o Connecticut Girl DEFENDS her Relationship to a 64 YEAR OLD MAN!!!

24 y/o University of Connecticut Student, Samantha Smith is DEFENDING her relationship to a 64 YEAR OLD MAN!!

She's striking back at strangers to her relationship with Russell Edwards whom she met online 3 years ago and says they aren't fazed by people thinking they're FATHER AND DAUGHTER!

Russell's family is NOT supporting their relationship..mainly because his OWN Children are OLDER THAN SAMANTHA!!

Samantha is a medical assisting student and said "If we hold hands in public, we get dirty looks but they tend to be from middle ged women who don't understand and think it's a sugar daddy situation. But when we tell th e we're in a relationship, it's just really awkward and embarrassing for them. My dad doesn't want to meet Russell, in his head he just thinks oh what does someone his age want to do with someone my age. But my mom is really supportive, she loves Russell and has seen such a positive change in me since we've been dating. She really sees how happy i am with him, so she supports it, although was in shock at first"

Russell owns a security systems business and said "I won't give up mine and Samantha's relationship to suit other people. We have been subjected to taunts in the street but the main one that sticks in my mind was when we were at the package store and the cashier referred to Samantha as my daughter. when i said she was my girlfriend, the lady didn't know what to do."

They met in 2014 and Samantha met Russell WITHOUT SEEING HIS PICTURE!!!...but she said it was "love at first sight"

She realized after talking online and how they have a lot in common, they knew they'd date anyway despite not knowing what she looks like at the time..

She said "As soon as i saw him i started falling for him, although he's older, he's perfect for me"

Russell said he saw her pictures and though she was "beautiful" and fell for her as well as they hit it off and started dating long term

They moved in with each other and Samantha says she's excited to be in bed with him everyday and said the Sex was GREAT

Not really. I mean if she's a gold digger she wins and if she's not she wins.

2. 24 is old enough to make her own decisions. If she wants to be with him then who gives a fuck.

Well, she's ugly so she doesn't have as many options. Plus, as ES notes, the guy looks fantastic for his age. I would add that she looks awful for hers. If anything, he might be making the mistake. But hey, he's still kinda living the dream.

That depends on how rich he is. If he's rich, she's a gold digger and has to go. If he's not then let them be.

Well, even if an older man is rich, sometimes the love can be real. Otherwise, if he's rich enough to afford a gold digger and wants a gold digger, let the man's gold be dug. However, if she is a gold digger, she's kinda lacking in the looks department which means she sucks at it (or is so good that she can look bad)

I know and I know it's their decision and risk to take. It just bothers me that there are people in the world who are so greedy and shallow that they'll take advantage of people like that.

Family, be they married or related through blood shouldn't do that. Anyone who does is a despicable asshat.

tbh, ugly people tend to look older while good-looking people tend to appear younger. So attractiveness can kinda imply age.

Umm, did you made a mistake with the ages coz the guy looks younger than 54 and the woman looks much older than 34.

Age is just a number. It matters not, you jest.
And also, those with live to appeal to others are laughable existences.

I think it's strange that their minds would immediately jump to "sugar daddy" instead of "regular daddy" if all they were doing was holding hands. Is it really that strange to hold hands with your parents?

When you're a kid no, when you're an adult just strolling yeah.

I work with a girl who is like 23 who is dating a man in his early 60s and I've met both and they seem fine to me.

After looking at pics, that dude looks like he's mid 40s and she looks like mid 30s. The couple I speak of the guy is balding with white hair and she looks 23 so much more obvious of an age gap.
