SNES > DS > ps1

iirc, ps1 has monster load times on the port.

DS has a more accurate translation, cut down on the censorship, and added not only the PS1 features (things like the ending tracker were great) but some new content not available elsewhere (which is mostly pretty decent in quality, if ultimately forgettable). It is definitely the best version.

SNES is next in line, because what the PS1 gains in expanded content, it more than loses in absolutely awful load times.

The DS version is pretty definitive. But the SNES one is great. The PS1 version was good for its time aside from the load times, but the DS version has made it obsolete.

The extra content in the DS version is so bad and out of place it actually makes the game worse.

I almost agree with that, except for the fact that it's totally extra

I only did it once on my first play through and then never again. It is really bad

I have probably put the most time into the PSX one but the DS version is easily the best. The PSX version has serious load times and is literally just a ROM of the SNES game with some movies added.

The snes version with all it's 90s pop culture references will always hold a special place in my heart, but if a young person was asking which one they should play I'd recommend the ds one.
