In my state if you are summoned you are required to go to the courthouse and listen to some b.s. for like 2 hrs even if you don't make it on the jury which it is highly unlikely that they'll pick you anyway. Complete b.s.

Second option should have been split into "Got a summons, but didn't have to show up" and "Had to go in, but didn't get picked."

I was summoned but shortly before I had to go i got another letter saying I didn't have to go anymore. Turned out to be a pretty good thing since I didn't have winter tires for my car yet and there was a pretty bad storm the day I would've had to drive an hour and a half to go there.

No, and I never will. I'd bluntly tell them I'm biased towards siding with police officers, which is true.

Served on the jury for a guy named Chuck Montoya who went on a GTA style shooting spree through the streets of downtown Denver and shot a cop.

Shit was crazy.
Is this going to be one of those times when you pretend not to have a plan until the last moment? And then turn out to really not have one?
