Neither. Both have their merits, but I prefer when someone gets it right, or close to. I prefer when anyone shows that they care enough to actually think about what to give, when they put forth the effort to get a thing the other person needs or wants, and the other person cares enough to accept the gift.

Receiving. Not because i want gifts, but only because there's no effort.

I'm horrible at figuring out what other people want and shopping while finding absolutely nothing good stresses me out.

Giving. I've had my gift expectations tempered over the years, and I always put a lot of thought into a gift that I get for someone so I like to think of what would make a good present.

Ever since my mid teens, I began to focus more on giving to others more than receiving gifts for myself. Now that I'm in my 30's, I don't even think about receiving gifts.

planning on giving, just don't have much this time of year especially because of the VR and a router repair. that drained my wallet very well.

the router thing is temporary, should be back on track in February.
