A Pennsylvania Sheriff's deputy was suspended after he removed a NAZI FLAG that was flying off private property!!
Deputy Colin Meeker was suspended without pay and is under investigation for going on private property of a white supremacist group and removed a flag displaying Nazi symbols while on the job
Daniel Burnside, the owner of that flag and director of the National Socialist Movement said a neighbor witnessed him getting out of his car at 4pm and removing it
Daniel said he climbed over a wall and went 15ft onto his property and removed it from his flagpole
Colin also works for the Pennsylvania National Guard and was asked by Daniel to make a VIDEO TAPED APOLOGY after he had already apologized in person and returned the flag..but he REFUSED to make a video taped apology and now Daniel said it made him believe he had no remorse and was very unprofessional so now he filed charges against him.
He said "It wasn't until he returned my damaged flag that i learned his name and now i demand he pay for it with his JOB"
The National Socialist movement is a neo-nazi group that believes in closing the borders from immigrants and a white society. They also took part in the Charlottesville march where they clashed with antifa. They were also very vocal in support of President Trump and his policy to ban muslims and deporting mexicans

Crazy how someone gets in trouble for this but is let off for killing someone for no reason.
He should have used civil forfeiture to take it, then there'd be no problem. Also, pretty fucked that taking a flag gets you suspended without pay, but murdering an unarmed man in cold blood gets you suspended with pay.

I almost never agree with zeus, but this is clear over reach and doing it on the job makes the city responsible for the suppression of freedom of speech. The guy should be fired. But even if he did, it would be as a private citizen and he would face community service or possibly jail time. IF he did it off the clock in civilian clothes, I would probably be ok with a fine and probation while still being concerned at what other laws he doesn't put much stock in.
