Just curious! Ever become involved with a person you work with? Coworker, supervisor, intern, contractor, hmmmmm?

Hopefully the answers are encompassing enough...for example, "working out amicably" does not imply that y'all ended up together or anything, but rather includes the possibility of things ending on a positive note.

My supervisor when I was a younger working at a movie theater was stocking candy in a display case and kept falling backwards on her butt, laughing hysterically

I fell for her immediately and weve been married for 12 years

Well, I mean we started dating right away , and working together as well, but yes, I worked with her and dated, then we got married and it lasted almost 20 years before she passed away.

We continued to work as a team up until 2010 when she got too ill to work anymore, so about 11-12 years.

That's such a sweet story. I'm happy for you two. :)
Work in progress, please be patient.
When I worked at panera, one of my coworkers would always blatantly hit on me. But I had a gf at the time and also I try to follow the rule of not fucking people you work with so after we broke up I didny tell her I was single because I figured that would just embolden her even more than she already was
No, but since the summer break started a coworker and I have been texting each other memes and jokes literally every day. She'll send me things saying it reminds her of something I told her months ago and she returns my puns with pins of her own. She's also started tagging me in things on Facebook.

I think I'm starting to like her but I'll wait until work begins again in September to maybe ask her out. We're both out of town on holidays right now anyway.

No, and it isn't a good idea to do so.
No. I would probably hook-up with someone. Maybe even date them. I see no problems with it. Ive seen many couples at work, though. Depends on the job, though.

No, but there was an intern, and she went out with two coworkers at once (let's call one douche and the other stoner). I got caught in the crossfire. Also, I should preface this by saying everyone in my department was super young and we were friendlier than coworkers normally get.

Anyway, these two guys both went out with her for a few weeks? I'm not sure on the timeline.

Douche was secretive about it. Stoner was more upfront about it.

Eventually it became clear that she needed to make a decision (I don't know why). But she was kinda avoiding the situation and she would ask me to do things because I was the neutral/safe choice.

Early on, we got invitations to a late night company event months away and needed to RSVP. She asked if she were allowed (she wasn't sure if she was going to be working after the summer). Douche joked/teased that interns were not allowed. I quickly without thinking said she could be my plus one. Her eyes really lit up. Man, I did not know what I was getting into.

Eventually there is a department trip to the beach. She asks me rub sunscreen on her. The two guys gave me funny looks, but also everyone teased me because I get super uncomfortable doing things like that when I'm not involved with the other person and my department thinks it's hilarious. They found out from that one time we went clubbing and she was dancing on me, and I turned her around and said, "We're not like that, so don't." She thought it was hilarious and apparently everyone saw or found out.

Anyway, during the beach trip she finally got confronted by douche. He made the decision really easy by coming off so controlling (she talked to me about it the Monday after).

She tried explaining how hard it was to break up with him, despite them never really being a thing. I told her I understood exactly what she was talking about because before she came along, he used to ask me to lunch all the time and her couldn't take no for an answer. He is unusually persistent.

After the trip too, douche just started thinking everyone in the department was against him. He eventually quit after his performance review.

doesn't sound like a good idea. if it ends badly then you see eachother all the time at work.

if you date then you see them outside work and during work... thats too much time
Yep, we ended up getting married. My parents also met in the workplace.

Yes. We aren't together but it ended amicably.

Yes. Sadly enough she was dating another of our co workers at the time. When she broke up with him and tried dating me soon after, it was a shit fest at work...

I think all of my long term relationships have started at work. As well as most hookups. All have ended amicably.

Nope but I wouldn't be against the idea. I would prefer we don't work the same shifts much though. I recall in my last job a work colleague of mine who became a acquaintance started dating another work colleague and it became the talk of the town. Not only that but while he was doing his job he was always distracted by her and visa versa. I could see it being awkward at times when you work the same shifts. Still he has a new job now and they are still together and have a kid so it works for some.

I put other for "sort of", hung out with/made out with a chick I worked with a few times, then she got fired and we kind of fell out of contact.
