Adult show doesn't mean to has to include mature themes, vulgar language, or extreme violence. Recess is an an adult show in the sense that a lot of the dialogue is written with tongue-in-cheek humor.that doesn't make The Lego Movie an adult movie. it's a kid's movie with some jokes for adults. like Recess being a kid's show with some jokes for adults. You'd have to go to something like The Oblongs if you want to reference a more adult-themed cartoon.
