Yeah. It's fine. It's in no way great chocolate, but the taste and texture are pleasant and it's nostalgic. Really like the dark variant of it.

I get that due to how it's produced, it will taste off if you didn't grow up with it. That's fine. Root Beer has a similar phenomenon: people who didn't grow up with it say that it tastes like medicine. However, those of us who grew up with it enjoy the unique flavor.

Again, not great chocolate or anything, but some of the melodramatic borderline vitriolic reactions I've read about it are silly.

What's weird is the same American brands make chocolate for other markets, including Canada, and they make it taste way better. Only the American versions taste awful.

I know a couple of Americans who grew up thinking they didnt like chocolate until they had actual chocolate as adults.

After all the different chocolate I've had, international and all different chocolates, I can honestly say that American Hershey's chocolate is the #1 best chocolate. Don't understand how people don't like it. It's the most delicious.
I love Lord Jesus, Family Matters (for Steve & Laura which I typed up a beautiful alt from Just One Date episode) and FFIX (for Zidane & Garnet).

theyre ok. As a candy bar they are kind of boring and as chocolate it is pretty sub par, but they go good on smores and I like sucking on the squares until they melt. Unless I need them for something, like smores, Im not buying them, but if someone gives me them free Im not throwing them away either.

Nah, I don't have a sweet tooth at all so if I am eating chocolate, it is no less than 75% cocoa.

Yeah, I like them and the almond version. I don't like all of the weird flavors and combos that various candy companies are coming up with lately. I love a basic Reese's cup, for example, but some of the new combos are really weird. But, I guess they appeal to others so live and let live.

Our Australian Chocolate is great, same with imported chocolate. I don't like chocolate in general since it makes me sick.

When I was a kid I liked them, but as I've gotten older I guess my palate has become a bit more refined. The last time I had a Hersey bar it was pretty terrible.

If I want cheap chocolate, I'll get some Moser Roth from Aldi. They run about $3 for five 25g (0.88oz) bars. Only slightly more expensive than Hershey's, but much better tasting and it's not made using child labor.

I view them like American cheese. There is a lot of better types of cheese but American is best on a burger. There are many other types of chocolate but Herseys is best on smores.

Very fair assessment. I do prefer other cheese on a burger, but "American" "cheese" is right at home on one. Something about adding Butyric acid to have it recreate a taste from the old chocolate production process used in the US.
A flavour that if you are not used to it, tastes like vomit. (Because it is a main component of vomit)

Yes. Its good for what it is. I prefer a Hershey Symphony Bar more. But either way, Peanut Butter Cups are my favorite.
