Im surprised that people post pictures in these topics, as I thought most of the appeal of these kinds of boards was the anonymity.

I feel like people were more willing in the past. Last recent topic like this was all joke pictures.

Last one I participated in seven or so years ago ended up turning into a "Rate Me" topic. I averaged about a 5.5 with outliers on the 4 and 8 ends.

I dont really mind posting my photo. I think it's neat seeing what everybody looks like.

I usually don't because I dont have a super recent photo of myself, and every time I see this topic I am in no state to have my photo taken.

This is from a few years ago, taken with my infrared camera indoors, which is generally a poor combo, but that's why it looks weird. Add in about 10 pounds and a full beard, and that's me today

I dont do it because I dont want to mix this place with real life. I like the degree of separation. Plus, you know that if youre easily doxxable, which I would be, theres always the chance that somebody would create drama.

This one is much better. It is also with my infrared camera but the colors aren't just red, though I am unsure where it was taken. Perhaps my garage.

I think it depends what you do for work as well. I kind of have to maintain a squeaky clean image (which is crazy when you consider my formative years) because peoples perception of me generates customers where I work as my main job, and also allows me to get side gigs like TV appearances.

Nah, ppl on the gfaqs boards have posted pics since way back in the day. There was a user pic archive like way back. 2000 or something.
