Do you guys realize that never getting sick weakens your immune system? Flu shots don't cover the whole spectrum of sickness and you may be more susceptible to other stuff.

Nah. And taking a few epidemiology courses in college did nothing to inspire me into getting them.

I misread the topic title as "flu thots" and was very confused
Used to, and every time I did, I would get sick immediately after. They also have to pretty much guess as to which flu viruses to vaccinate against every year. One of the years that I got one, the flu virus was the same as the previous year, but they didn't include the vaccination for last year's virus. So it was literally a waste.
The first principle is that you must not fool yourself --- and you are the easiest person to fool.

To answer the original question - of course. I hate needles, but I get flu shots free through work, and I'd gladly trade a sore arm for a lessened chance of missing work due to the flu; I'd rather not risk being exposed in a crowded office, nor contributing to an outbreak.

To answer the original question - of course. I hate needles, but I get flu shots free through work, and I'd gladly trade a sore arm for a lessened chance of missing work due to the flu; I'd rather not risk being exposed in a crowded office, nor contributing to an outbreak.

I work in nursing homes so I usually get it every year. I didn't get it a few years ago and the flu went around my building

. And it can take 2-3 weeks and a few dead people before it goes away.

We wouldn't need flu shots if you guys could bother to use santitzing wipes on your shopping carts and not sneeze in the damn store. If you have to cough in the store, cover your damn mouth and don't cough in products that we want.

That's actually very cool.
I also forgot that drinking black tea helps you not get sick. If you guyz would cut out sodas and have black tea, your immune system would be better. People don't get proper vitamins because nobody wants to go outside and exercise.

if anything year after year when flu season arrives i just end up getting a nastier cold that leaves me coughing up phlegm.
