don't want to, don't need to and there are easier languages to learn that i'd get way more use out of
A Lodestar's a Lodestar, but the Care Package could be anything! It could even be a Lodestar! You know how much we've wanted one of those!

This reminds me of when everyone I knew learned Spanish because that was the second most popular language in America.

Most of them use it less than I use Russian. Pick a language because you like the culture or want to visit/live in the country, not because someone tries to sell you a "practicality" argument.

I think the most useful language for me to learn right now would be French, and it would be for sub-Saharan Africa. A lot of the Mandarin speakers are going to be learning English anyways. There's a lot of Africa where French is still taught instead of English.

Would be nice to learn it but yeah, too lazy, and other languages I'd want to learn before Mandarin anyway.

Took some classes in university, but I'm pretty rusty. I figured I'd never get another chance to learn it, even though French is much more useful in my country and is required in a lot of workplaces here. I learned French through Duolingo after, though.
